Joni Cobb serves as President of the KTEC PIPELINE, the first program of its kind in the nation - designed to identify talented and entrepreneurial Kansans, match them with best-in-class training, resources and mentors and encourage them to pursue a career as a technology entrepreneur in Kansas.

Prior to managing the KTEC PIPELINE, Cobb served KTEC as a strategic planning consultant for KTEC, working with leadership to implement the early phases of the state’s bioscience initiative, formation and early strategic planning of KansasBio and development of the KTEC PIPELINE as a cutting edge new program for Kansas and the nation.

Cobb spent six years building her own Kansas company, Cobb Communications LLC, which provided comprehensive business planning and strategic communications services to technology and bioscience organizations, as well as foundations and organizations with high emphasis on public sector engagement. For her efforts, she was recognized in 2005 as one of Ingram’s Magazine’s “40 Under Forty” in the Kansas City region.

Before forming her company, Cobb practiced law in the Kansas City area, and was selected as a federal judicial law clerk for the Western District of Missouri.

Cobb grew up in Kansas City and holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia as well as a JD from Washington University School of law in St. Louis.
