Andrew Hoelscher

President
Hoelscher Agriculture Development
Bushton, Kansas

Andrew Hoelscher is President of Hoelscher Agriculture Development (HAD), Bushton, Kansas. HAD is a start-up company, involved in the development of marketing, production and technological advantages that can make production agriculture more profitable and efficient. HAD’s background in production agriculture and commodity markets generates unique market opportunities and relationships that allows the company to develop fresh opportunities in a mature and sometimes exploited market.

HAD is developing cropping systems, information dispersal channels and partnerships with key market players that will be made available to individual producers. HAD is also developing facilities linked to renewable fuels and commodity processing that will alleviate the price-taking market of commodity production and give producers ownership in vertically integrated facilities.

Andrew farms with his father and grandfather in his hometown of Bushton –  a town of 300 located 60 miles southwest of Salina. He ran successfully for mayor of Bushton and is helping the community direct its attention to making progressive changes to ensure a prosperous future. This included taking steps toward ordinance enforcement, housing codes and pursuing the development of a 40 million gallon biodiesel plant.

Andrew received his BS from Kansas State University in Agricultural Economics with an emphasis in Farm Management and Agronomy.
