Bruce Ianni Founder & CEO Chemidex Overland Park, Kansas

Bruce Ianni is Founder and CEO of Chemidex, Overland Park, Kansas. Chemidex’s vision is to transform the product formulation process for scientists, product and business developers in the global chemical industry by combining state-of-the-art Internet, database and search technologies with an intimate understanding of the needs of industry professionals.

With more than 15 years experience in the chemical industry, Bruce created Chemidex, a $4.2 million global Internet business, by introducing a new search engine based business model to the chemical industry. He achieved profitability within three years and grew the organization to 45 employees located throughout North America, Europe and China. Bruce currently manages new growth trajectory and revenue target of $8 million by 2009, fueled in part by a recent infusion of $3 million from an equity investment firm in Boston.

Bruce spent eight years with Noveon Specialty Chemicals (formerly the B.F. Goodrich Coatings Division) and held positions including Applications Chemist and Sales Representative. He created a $5 million sales territory and lead B.F. Goodrich’s entry into the coatings marketplace as their first sales representative.

Bruce focused on organic chemistry at De Paul University and the Illinois Institute of Technology. He holds a BS in Business Administration from John Carroll University.
